In this month’s Michigan Psychedelic Society Jackson Chapter Community meeting we will be hosting guest speaker, Melissa Scannell. Melissa is a licensed Mental Health Counselor. She will be sharing with us information about different strains and their effects. Melissa will also be talking about psychedelic therapy, psychedelics in group settings, and psychedelics as a Mother.

“Hi, I’m Melissa Scannell, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience specializing in complex trauma and psychedelic facilitation. My work blends extensive training, certifications, and a unique integration of evidence-based practices, holistic approaches, and spiritual wisdom. My credentials include:

• State Licensed in Indiana and Colorado
• MAPS Training in MDMA and Psilocybin Therapy
• Training in Ketamine-Assisted Therapy
• 3-year long completion of Indigenous Healing Practices
• Reiki Master Teacher
• Certification in EMDR I and II
• Expertise in Hypnosis
• Specialized Trainings in Sound Healing
• Intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
